Girls’ Space

Girls’ Space activities provide open activities, peer support groups, and sexual counselling and therapy for girls and young women aged 10–28, while respecting gender diversity.

You can find Girls’ Space activities in Vantaa and in Lappeenranta.

At Girls’ Space, you can spend time and meet new people and participate in various activities. Our weekly programme includes different peer support groups and open activities.

Girls’ Space also has a sexual therapist and counsellor whom you can meet by appointment if you have questions or considerations regarding your own sexuality. You can contact Anniina at anniina.kaljunen@nicehearts.com for more information.

The values of Girls’ Space are equality, non-discrimination, community joy. Our activities are based on respectful and appreciative encounters, where everyone is treated as an individual. Our community is diverse, and our activities are gender and culture sensitive.

We follow our Safer Spaces principles in all our activities.

Girls’ Space is a safer space to be, grow and develop, and to receive encouragement, courage and room to be exactly as you are. Participation in Girls’ Space activities is completely free of charge.

Girls’ Space has been operating in Vantaa since 2013 and in Lappeenranta since 2017. Girls’ Space is politically and religiously unaffiliated.
