Nicehearts – The Change Starts with Us
Nicehearts as an organisation began as youth work centering girls and women in Vantaa and has since widened out to outreach work helping other girls and women in other places. Founded in 2021, Nicehearts has had the goal to ensure that girls, women and families (with consideration for gender diversity and respecting the right to self-definition) can make their own places in this community and society as equal and non-discriminated members.
Nicehearts has offices in Espoo, Helsinki, Vantaa and Lappeenranta.
Our branches include Girl’s Space activities, StrongWoman activities, Neighbourhood Mothers activities and Community House activities. We also have For You on social media that functions in social media spaces.

Our vision is to become Finland’s most influential community for women and girls in advancing equality.
Our values are equality, non-discrimination, community, joy and humanity. These values guide all our activities and operations.
Our mission is a give room for change makers that will create a more equal world together. This will make it possible for girls, women and families (while respecting gender diversity and gender expression) to have a safer space to grow, participate and be heard. We work to prevent marginalisation and strengthen participation in daily lives, in communities, and in society. Our strengths are creating impactful, people-centred and value-based work in a concrete and personable manner.
From ‘many streams to a stream”
We are building stability and continuity in the longer term by diversifying our funding sources now. Several small streams form a strong stream that will carry our activities forward in a changing world. We are moving boldly towards growth and impact, while safeguarding the foundation of our current work.
Nicehearts activities create long-lasting networks between girls and women and promote encounters between people from different cultures and ages in everyday life. Nicehearts ry does impressive work to advance the status of girls and women. The guiding principles of our activities are gender and cultural sensitivity, anti-racism, inclusion and community.
The association is religiously and politically non-aligned.
