All of our activities operate according to safer space principles
The aim of a safer space is to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate as their authentic selves. A safer space is created together by following these principles in Nicehearts Association’s locations and activities:
YOU CAN BE YOURSELF
- You do not have to explain your existence to others.
- I do not make assumptions about others based on appearance, gender, age, skin color, or disability.
WE RESPECT EACH OTHER
- I do not touch others without consent.
- I do not engage in verbal or physical harassment.
- I do not use offensive language.
- I listen to others.
- I give everyone space to participate.
- I understand that my words and actions affect others.
- I do not comment on others’ or my own appearance.
- I am willing to apologise if I cause harm.
