StrongWoman activities are for women who have moved to Finland and for Roma women.
We’re here to support you through everyday challenges and support you plan for the future. You’re welcome to join our activities. StrongWoman activities are organised in Espoo and Vantaa.
We provide personal guidance as well as group activities where you can meet other women, practice Finnish, receive peer support, take part in excursions, do crafts and spend time in a relaxed and safe atmosphere.
StrongWoman offers a safer space where you can feel to be heard and valued. We make it a priority that everyone feels a sense of belonging. Our advisors assist with everyday matters, help you access services, and support you in other life situations where you might need help. We also help in situations involving domestic violence.
StrongWoman activities are completely free of charge. Our work is based on equality, non‑discrimination, sense of community, joy and humanity.
StrongWoman has been operating in Vantaa since 2011 and in Espoo since 2107. The activities are politically and religiously unaffiliated. We follow our Safer Spaces principles in all our activities.
The StrongWoman is funded by the Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA).
